NSW: Governor-general forced to cancel Poland trip

Australia's governor-general QUENTIN BRYCE has been forced to cancel her attendance
at the funeral of the late Polish president .. due to the closure of European air space.

Ms BRYCE is currently in transit in the United Arab Emirates and now plans to undertake
a short program of visits to the Australian community in Dubai .. before travelling on
to Turkey for Anzac Day commemorations.

Ms BRYCE says she's disappointed about her inability to represent Australia's 164 thousand
people of Polish descent .. at today's State funeral in Krakow.
